I served as a Producer for the University of Illinois' first sports focused show, Illini Sports Night, during the Spring of 2020. I also created, produced and edited segments for the show on almost a weekly basis. The episode featured was just submitted for a student Emmy award.
In addition to being a producer, I also had a role on-camera. One segment I created was 'Illinois Story', where we would find an athlete to focus on, then sit down with them to talk over their current athletic career and future aspirations.
During the fall of 2019, I prepared for Illini Sports Night. I took the time to produce segments like the one shown here. These quick hits served as web exclusives that generated attention to Illini Sports Night and prepared viewers for the show that was to come.
I served as on-camera talent for the University of Illinois' first morning show, Good Morning Illini, during the Fall 2019 semester. This is package was aimed towards shedding on a fun light on the Illinois Women's Club Hockey team.
As a recurring segment, I was in charge of developing Good Morning Illini's segment, 'Get Moving Illini', where a form of activity is showcased. As told by the GMI director, I reinvented what this segment is.
UI-7 Newsbreak, the University of Illinois' student news channel, features a wide variety of programs including weekly, live, 30-minute television and radio broadcasts that are produced, directed and written by broadcast journalism students at Illinois. I co-produced this show, and it was Newsbreak's most successful show of the fall.
UI-7 Newsbreak allowed us to think outside the box. The final show of the semester encompassed all types of art-forms. I chose to focus my package on a dog groomer who uses dogs as her canvas.
